   Registering Max Anti Spyware Pro


How do I register my product ?
    After you install the product, click on "Register Now" button on main GUI (Graphical User Interface) of the product. Enter your details as mentioned.
In the last text box " Registration No: " Select the registration key in the email sent to you, copy by pressing (ctrl+c) and then paste by pressing (ctr+v) the registration number in the registration box. (Please copy and paste this number, do not try to type it in) in the registration form and click on Register button.
For registration of the product, you will have to be connected to the Internet.

I can not Register:
    It seems that some program on your PC may be blocking it. If you have Norton Internet Security, please check the following:

Please open NIS (Norton Internet Security) and go to Status & Settings -> Personal Firewall -> Configure -> Custom Level -> Personal Firewall setting. If you have checked the option "High Block everything until you allow it", then you will get "Internet connection failed" error, while registration.

This happens because by default NIS has blocked two application exe's of Max Anti Spyware Pro. The two Anti Spyware Pro exe's are:

1. Antispyware.exe
2. LiveUpdateSD.exe

To fix his error, please go to NIS (Norton Internet Security) -> Status & Settings -> Personal Firewall -> Configure -> Programs -> Click on Add -> Browse to C:\Program files\Antispyware\antispyware.exe (C: here denotes the current Operating System). When NIS (Norton Internet Security) prompts the user with Program Control window for appropriate action, listed in combo box, Choose "Permit" and click on OK.

Do the same for C:\windows\system32\LiveUpdateSD.exe also.

If you are doing new installation of Max Anti Spyware Pro, NIS (Norton Internet Security) prompts its Security Alert with options for what do you want to do? Select "Always allow connections from this program on all ports" and while doing Live Update, if NIS prompts security alert then also select "Always allow connections from this program on all ports".

If you have already blocked the exe's, then make changes as NIS (Norton Internet Security)-> Status & Settings -> Personal Firewall -> Configure -> Programs -> Check for Max Anti Spyware Pro on Manual Program Control list, if it is present, select Max Anti Spyware Pro exe names and click on Modify -> change the action to "Permit". Follow same steps for Live Update also.

If you have Windows XP Firewall, please check the following:

Click Start, Control Panel, double–click Network Connections, right-click the desired connection, Properties>Advanced tab, under Internet Connection Firewall, uncheck the option "Protect my Computer and Network by limiting or preventing access to this computer from the internet".

This should help you Register and Update Max Anti Spyware Pro.

P. S. : Please note that this is not a limitation on the part of Max Anti Spyware Pro but Windows Firewall has blocked it, which you need to Permit.


How do I register again, if I have re-formatted my hard drive?
    Once you have your computer working after re-formatting, download our latest release from the website http://www.spywaredetector.biz/antispyware.exe. Install the program again using this setup file. In Case the software asks you for registration again, just re-enter the registration key as above, that was mailed to you during purchase process.


What to do if I have a Firewall Installed on my Computer and I need it to run for virus or spyware protection?
    If you have any of the firewalls installed which we have listed down here, do the same as we are describing here. This way you can register Max Anti Spyware Pro and also do LiveUpdate.

1) Norton Personal Firewall (Norton Internet Security)
Simply right click on the icon in the system tray as shown in the figure below and click on Disable Norton Internet Security option.


2) Quick Heal Personal Firewall
Simply right click on the icon in the system tray as shown in the figure below and click on Exit option.


3) Zone Alarm FireWall
Simply right click on the icon in the system tray as shown in the figure below and click on ShutDown ZoneAlarm Security Suite option.



4) VET AntiVirus
Simply right click on the icon in the system tray as shown in the figure below and click on Snooze Resident Protection option.

It will ask for the password to verify if you are the right user to disable it or not.

Give the time duration for which you want to keep it disabled.

 

5) Tiny Personal Firewall
Open the application and Uncheck the Firewall enabled option to disable the firewall.





What is my Registration Number?
    Registration number is an alpha-numeric key that is provided to you when you purchase Max Anti Spyware Pro. This number registers Max Anti Spyware Pro to allow the user to use it for one year with full functionality. This key is unique and helps us to identify the user to provide Customer Support.


What if my Registration Number is Invalid?
    We recommend not to enter the Registration Number that you have received by mail. It is suggested that you Copy and Paste the Registration Number to avoid errors. If you are still getting the same error message, please mail us to info@spywaredetector.net.


I purchased Max Anti Spyware Pro but I never received a Registration Number.

      How to Use Max Anti Spyware Pro


How do I scan spywares using Max Anti Spyware Pro?
    Generally after installing Max Anti Spyware Pro, it automatically opens the main application. If you try to open it later, click Start > Programs > Max Anti Spyware Pro > antispyware.exe. The main user interface of the application will open. First of all it will open the Tips for how to use Max Anti Spyware Pro. To go through the tips, click on Next Tip button. If you are finished or don't want to go through tips, Click on Cancel button or Close button on the right top of the window. Then it loads the database showing you a progressive bar. After it all, it will prompt you to perform scanning using two options:

1) Quick Scan
2) Full Scan

Quick Scan option scans the hard drive where the operating system is installed.
Full Scan
option scans all the selected hard drives present on the computer.

Click on the scan option you want to perform and scanning will start. A list of all the spywares that are detected will be shown in the interface.


How do I quarantine spywares?
    After scanning is done, Max Anti Spyware Pro will prompt a message window to ask you if you want to quarantine the detected spywares or not. If you click on Quarantine button, it will quarantine the scanned spywares. (If Max Anti Spyware Pro is not registered or Subscription period is expired, it will not let you quarantine the scanned items.) Quarantining the spyware entries means that we are deactivating the spyware itself and it will not be able to infect the machine or do any activity harmful to computer. If you don't want to quarantine any spyware entry, click on Cancel button.


Should I restart the machine after Quarantining spyware entries?
    Definitely Yes! You must restart the machine after you have quarantined the spywares as some spyware entries are not quarantined at the same time as they may be in use. So, those entries are quarantined properly only after you restart the PC. Max Anti Spyware Pro itself asks you to restart the PC whenever it finds any entry which could not be quarantined at the same time. After restarting machine, open the application and click on Recover button, Select all spywares and click on Delete button. Sometimes you might have to scan the PC again after this process and delete them again in the same fashion. It is not because we can not remove them, it is because those are dangerous spywares which keep themselves active until the PC is shutdown, so we again have to track them and delete them.


How do I delete the quarantined spywares?
    After spywares are quarantined, you have to click on Recover button. Check the box "Select All spywares to recover/ delete" to Recover or Delete the quarantined spyware entries. Recovering the spywares means they will be reactivated. Deleting them will permanently remove them from the computer. Click on Delete button to remove the spywares.


How do I use Exclude option?
    We have provided a very useful option for the users who use some kind of file sharing or P2P programs, that is Exclude option. There are some softwares which come under the category of keyloggers or RAT (Remote Administrative Tools) but people still use them, in that case we give the user the freedom to choose not to scan those entries at all. After performing full scan before quarantining, go to “Options” button and click on “Exclude”tab. This will provide a list of spywares that are detected in the scanning process. Select the spyware which you want to exclude from being detected. Next time you scan your PC using Max Anti Spyware Pro, those spywares will not get scanned. You can also put back these spywares for scanning using the Recover option next to Exclude tab.


Does Max Anti Spyware Pro remove viruses?
    No. It is mainly focused on detecting and deleting Spywares, Adwares, Trojans, Worms, Key loggers, Browser hijackers and Tracking cookies.


How do I block pop-ups?
    Please do a full scan daily to ensure protection against spywares that are generating these pop-ups.


How do I enable Max Anti Spyware Pro on Startup?
    Go to “Options” tab, click on “Product Information” and check the "Start Scan when windows start" under the Auto Scan option. Next time when you restart the PC, it will automatically scan your PC as per the option selected. If you just select Log Only option,it will only scan the PC and show you the log. If you select Quarantine option here, it will automatically quarantine the scanned spywares without asking you.


I ran a scan with Max Anti Spyware Pro and now I am unable to access the Internet.
    Some spyware entries create loss of Internet Connection when quarantined or removed from the PC. In that case, if you have only quarantined the spywares, please go to “Recover“ button, select all spywares and click on Recover. If you have permanently deleted the quarantined entries, Please go to Options button > Winsock LSPs > click on Fix LSP button. Your Internet connectivity will come back again.


Is it safe to allow Max Anti Spyware Pro's Max Shield alert?
    Yes. It is always recommended to have a Max Shield protection enabled.


None of this solves my problem, what do I do next?
    Contact us with an explanation of the type of problem your are experiencing including the names of any spyware programs that still remain after a scan, the web page(s) you are being redirected to, and any other strange PC behavior. We would like you to click on the Export Worm button on the interface of the application and send us E-mail with reference to issues you are having.
